Weekend at the Resort – One Big, Happy Paw-ty (Group-Blog)

I

This weekend felt like the house was humming with wagging tails, happy barks, and the kind of joyful chaos that makes me smile from sunup to sundown.

Kora was the first to check in, tiptoeing in with her usual quiet grace. But by day two, she was sneaking into the pack like a secret agent on a mission — especially when snacks were involved. I swear she has built-in radar for the crinkle of a treat bag.

Then came Cola, my favorite Bernedoodle sweetheart. It had been over a month since her last stay, but you’d think we’d been apart for years the way she came barreling through the door, tail wagging like a helicopter about to take off. She spread her love around like confetti — a kiss here, a cuddle there — and somehow still saved the biggest snuggles for me.

Savannah, my little Pompchi shadow, continued her role as my self-appointed bodyguard. Wherever I went, she went — usually bouncing along with that signature grin, as if she’d just told herself a joke. Always ready to play, always in motion, she’s like a pocket-sized burst of sunshine.

Friday brought the grand arrival of our VIP duo, Tosey and Ringo. These two are pure party energy — slipping into the action like they’d never left, playing tag in the yard one minute and curling up for a power nap the next.

Our newcomer, Monroe, the wise 13-year-old Bichon Poodle mix, took a different approach to the weekend. He was the dignified gentleman of the group, strolling about on his own schedule, occasionally checking in on the festivities before returning to his preferred “spa retreat” napping spots.

Meanwhile, Hershey and Frasier Jr., my two Schnauzer hosts, worked overtime as the resort’s unofficial activities directors — from organizing fetch tournaments in the backyard to making sure every guest got their share of attention.

Between snack breaks that could make an Olympic sprinter jealous, backyard zoomies that turned into full-on tail-chasing competitions, and cozy snuggle piles scattered from couch to bed, it was a weekend of pure, tail-wagging bliss. Every single pup had a good appetite, a happy heart, and a sparkle in their eyes.

It’s weekends like this that remind me: our little doggy resort isn’t just a place to stay — it’s where paws meet, friendships form, and joy runs on four legs.
