Tosey: More Than a Guest, She’s Family
I know I’ve said this before, but at this point, Tosey is practically family. And honestly, I think she feels the same way. She has her routine down to perfection—every morning, she trots in like she owns the place, heads straight through our little doggy door to take care of business, and then comes back in looking for her brunch (if she hasn’t eaten already). It’s all second nature to her now, like she’s been part of the pack forever.
In the early days, she used to go wild with Hershey every chance she got, but now that they’re old buddies, she’s settled into a more relaxed rhythm. She knows she has all the time in the world to play—on her terms, at her own pace.
What Tosey seems to enjoy the most these days, though, is our downtime together. When I take a break or sneak in a nap on our big round couch, it doesn’t matter how many pups are already sprawled out with me—Tosey will find a way to squeeze in next to me. And if there’s no room? Well, she’ll just plop right on top of me, content to nap as close as possible.
Aside from the joy of having so many different pups to play with, I think her favorite part of being here might just be my snack breaks. She’s got an appetite just like my own babies—never picky, always ready to eat! From time to time, I treat her to some delicious canned food alongside my own pups, though I make sure not to overfeed (I’ve seen what happens when dogs get a little too spoiled!). Keeping everyone healthy and at a good weight is important, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy some good food along the way.
Tosey is more than just a visitor at this point—she’s part of our little family, and we love having her here every day. 💕🐾
Her First Sleep Over
’m not sure if she realizes it yet, but her dad isn’t picking her up today. Not that she seems to mind, she’s having an absolute blast with Ferguson, who has completely stolen the spotlight. With everyone, including Tosey, chasing after him, the energy is nonstop!
Aside from all the playtime, we also had a long, relaxing stretch on the couch. Since my wife was home to help with the others, I got to spoil Tosey with extra massages—something she definitely didn’t complain about!
The Pack Just Kept Getting Bigger!
Tosey continues to dominate and mingle with everyone, regardless of size, breed, or age 😂

Another Big Group Day!
There isn’t much to write about today, except that they seem to be having more and more fun together as they grow closer. It’s great to see Tosey playing more with Frasier Jr., who has mostly taken on the role of the household security guard rather than picking favorites.

Ms Tosey Joins the Party!
Today was a blast at the daycare as Tosey joined the big party alongside my Hershey, Frasier Jr., and our house guests Bay and Kora. From the moment she arrived, she made it clear that she was ready to rule the playgroup!
Don’t let her sweet, innocent face fool you, Tosey is the dominant one of the bunch. She wasted no time jumping right into the action, leading the chase and bringing playtime to a whole new level. The other pups had no choice but to keep up with her energy!
But being the queen of the pack comes with its perks. Tosey knows exactly how to get what she wants—always claiming the fluffiest bed for her naps and somehow managing to be first in line for treats every time. She’s truly spoiled by everyone here, and honestly, she wouldn’t have it any other way!
We love having Tosey around, —she’s confident, playful, and full of personality. She’s definitely our little Diva.

Extra Saturday Visit – March 15th, 2025
Tosey joined us for an extra session on Saturday, March 15th—her first weekend visit! It was a full house today with five playful pups, making for a lively and fun-filled day. As part of her usual routine, she had a blast chasing my wife around the house before diving into playtime with everyone else.
We also treated the pups to some tiny bowties, and with her long, curly poodle-mix fur, Tosey wore hers the best—it suited her perfectly! It was another wonderful day for her at our little resort, and we loved having her.
Stories of Tosey So Far…
It’s hard to believe that it’s already been three weeks since Tosey became a regular weekday guest at our doggy resort! From day one, this Schnauzer-Poodle mix settled in seamlessly, making herself right at home. We treat Tosey like part of our family, always ensuring she feels loved and cared for just as much as our own pups. She quickly bonded with our resident dogs and became a familiar, happy presence in the house. Whether it was her morning zoomies, playful wrestling matches, or simply lounging nearby while we went about our day, Tosey has truly become part of our little pack.

Over the past three weeks, she’s continued to bring so much joy and energy to our home. She, Hershey, Frasier Jr, and even Ferguson have developed special friendships, always thrilled to see each other and instantly diving into games of chase. While she loves to play, Tosey also enjoys her quiet moments, often curling up in her favorite cozy spots after a long day of fun.
Throughout the day, Tosey adores spending time with our two Miniature Schnauzers, who have become her little partners in crime. Whether they’re playfully wrestling, chasing each other around the house, or curling up together for a nap, she has blended in with them perfectly. She follows them everywhere, from exploring the yard to lounging on the couch, always eager to be part of their activities. It’s heartwarming to see how naturally she has become part of their pack, and we love watching their bond grow stronger every day.
For whatever reason, Tosey has developed a special attachment to my wife, even though they barely spend much time together. Every morning when she arrives, the very first thing she does is look for her—even before greeting the other dogs! Since my wife is usually still in bed around 7:30 AM, Tosey has made it her mission to jump into bed and shower her with kisses. It’s adorable how her tail wags at a different frequency when she’s around my wife, showing a unique kind of excitement and affection.
