Today we welcomed an adorable new guest, Savannah – a 2-year-old Chihuahua and Pomeranian mix bursting with personality and charm. From the moment she pranced through the door for her weekend stay, it was clear this little diva had no intention of holding back. As I write this, she’s been non-stop: moving, playing, jumping, and showering us with kisses for the past six hours straight!
Despite her sassy spirit, Savannah is incredibly sweet and instantly formed a strong bond with me, as if we’d known each other for years. The moment I sit on the couch, she leaps right onto my chest and covers me with kisses, much to the (adorable) dismay of my own pups, who are clearly a little jealous of this new attention-stealer.
Savannah made herself right at home from the get-go, rotating between chew toys every few minutes, chasing tails, and joining in what has turned into a full-blown doggy party. Honestly, her joy is written all over her face—she’s loving every minute of it.
Before her arrival, I had a small concern about potential barking (something I noticed during our initial meet-and-greet). But wow—she surprised me! She’s been so well-mannered. The only times she did let out a few barks were when she was eager to join the wild play session with our three resident besties: Frasier, Hershey, and Tosey—the “Three Musketeers” of the house. Savannah is still figuring out how to join their tight-knit crew, but she’s holding her own and doing great.
One thing I’m especially glad to see is how much water she’s been drinking. That’s always a worry for new guests, but Savannah is confident, smart, and definitely not shy. The only minor thing we’re working on is a few potty accidents inside—nothing unexpected for a new pup in a new space, and we’re keeping it positive and patient.

With her size, energy, and fun-loving spirit, I can already tell she and our babies are going to become the best of friends. Welcome to the family for the weekend, Savannah—you’ve already claimed a spot in our hearts.
