Ringo the Playful Powerhouse!

I

Ringo, My Shadow

From the moment we all wake up, Ringo is already buzzing with excitement, tail wagging, eyes sparkling, ready to pick up right where we left off the night before. It’s like his internal clock is permanently set to play mode. Before breakfast, we spend at least 30 minutes in the backyard. part potty break, part intense fetch session. He lives for fetch. And luckily, he’s in good company.

My two Mini Schnauzers, Frasier Jr. and Hershey, are also big fans of fetch. Frasier Jr. gives Ringo a solid run for his money, turning every throw into a little competition. Hershey, on the other hand, joins in with enthusiasm but tends to bow out after a few rounds to supervise from the sidelines.

The first few days of Ringo’s stay were all high energy, all the time. The house felt like a whirlwind of zoomies, tail chases, and squeaky toy chaos. But by day three, things finally began to settle down. Even the Energizer pups seemed to hit their limit. Maybe it’s the summer heat, or maybe Ringo just successfully wore everyone out—including me. Naps have become more frequent, and we’ve all come to appreciate the calm.

That said, our fetch sessions haven’t stopped. We just moved them to the cooler parts of the day—early mornings and late evenings after the sun dips below the horizon. And Ringo? He’s made himself right at home. He’s become our little guardian, perking up at every sound outside and letting us know he’s on duty. He even has a habit of hoarding multiple toys at once, just like my Schnauzer babies. It’s hilarious watching the three of them squabble over a single toy while a dozen others sit untouched.

Ringo’s appetite has never wavered—he’s a treat-lover through and through. And he’s been sleeping better than ever. In fact, he’s gotten so comfortable that I haven’t even needed to give him his CBD treats anymore. As soon as the lights go out, he’s out cold.

It is also worth mentioning that he has been meeting and playing with so many new friends every day, like a kid visiting Disneyland. But what stands out most is how Ringo has bonded with me. He follows me from room to room like a little shadow, always curious, always close. It’s honestly been touching—he makes me feel like I’m his person, even if just for this stay. Having him around has been pure joy, and his presence has added something really special to our home.
