Soft steps, soulful eyes, and endless cuddles
It’s hard to believe it’s already been over a week since the lovely Ophelia joined our little family. With just a few days left before she heads home, I’m already feeling a bit of a heavy heart. She’s been such a wonderful house guest and a quiet, loving companion—it’s hard not to get attached.

What I adore most is how she follows me around the house so gently, always with that subtle, sweet smile on her face. She’s not loud or demanding—just always there, close by, making your day feel a little warmer. And when it’s couch time? Oh, she’s right there, doing her signature two-bounce launch to get herself up. It’s not the most graceful move, but it’s absolutely adorable and never fails to make me smile. Once she’s up, she snuggles right in for hugs and kisses like it’s her favorite place in the world.

I just love her so much—it’s impossible not to. I know how much she enjoys car rides, so I’ve been taking her everywhere with me, even when I have to run quick errands. She happily hops in, tail wagging, as if she knows it’s another mini adventure just for the two of us. I truly enjoy those little moments with her—she makes every ride feel special.

I think this stay has been special for Ophelia as well. I’m not sure if she’s ever had the chance to meet so many new doggy friends at once. While she doesn’t jump into playtime headfirst, her soulful eyes tell me she’s curious, engaged, and quietly enjoying the company of the pack. She prefers to observe and follow the fun from just a paw’s length away—and that’s perfectly her style.

I’ll definitely miss this sweet girl when it’s time for her to leave, but for now, I’m soaking in every last cuddle, bounce, and wag she shares. 💛
