Lulu’s Week of Joy, New Friends, and Sweet Moments
It’s hard to believe it’s already been nearly a week since Lulu joined us, time really flies when you’re having fun! Her daily rhythm has settled into a comfortable routine: eat, play, nap, repeat. She’s been thriving here, with steady meals, restful sleep, and lots of tail-wagging playtime.
Over the past couple of days, though, we’ve taken the fun to a whole new level. Throughout the week, Lulu met several new friends, but yesterday was especially exciting—she was introduced to Panda, a young Bernedoodle who might just be her distant doodle cousin! Panda is full of playful energy, and the two hit it off immediately. They’ve been romping around together like long-lost siblings, taking turns in an all-day play session filled with zoomies and joyful bounces, with plenty of rest breaks in between.
Our resident Schnauzer babies usually stick to their own kind of gentle, buddy play, but it’s been fun to watch Lulu finally find a friend her size and energy level. Panda really brought out her playful side even more.
And then there’s Colby—our tiny, introverted Cavapoo—who has surprised us all by showing a special interest in Lulu. He’s been following her around with a goofy little crush, trying to “jump” on her in a clumsy show of affection. Don’t worry, both are fixed, and we’re pretty sure Colby’s antics are all in innocent fun (nothing actually happened). Still, it’s sweet to see even the shy ones coming out of their shells around Lulu.
She did get a tiny scratch on one paw—nothing serious, just a little bleeding—so we treated it with some healing cream and gave her a break from fetch today. Between the heat and the need to take it easy, we opted for a chill day relaxing on the outdoor daybed. Lulu didn’t mind one bit.
One thing that never ceases to amaze us: Lulu is amazing in front of the camera. Her expressive little face and those soulful eyes could melt anyone’s heart. She really knows how to work the lens!
We’re so lucky to have her here—she brings so much light, playfulness, and charm to our days. Can’t wait to see what the next week brings!
