Sadi’s Second Stay – A Breakthrough in Confidence

Sweet Sadi is back for her second boarding with us, and this time, she brought along a whole new vibe. I’ll be honest—after her first visit, I had some worries. Back then, Sadi was deeply shy, keeping her distance not only from the other pups but also from us at times. Her separation anxiety was noticeable, and I still remember the stressful moment at the end of her last stay when she darted out the front door, giving me quite the scare trying to catch her.

But this time? A completely different story.

Within just 15 minutes of arriving, Sadi seemed to recognize that she was in a safe, familiar place. She quickly settled in, almost like she remembered we were here to care for her—not to stress her out. Despite this being a busier weekend than usual (thanks to the 4th of July holiday and several returning regulars), Sadi held her own with quiet confidence. She may not be one for rough-and-tumble play, but she didn’t shy away from the pack either. She happily followed me from room to room—even when I was surrounded by other pups—and would occasionally nudge in for a backrub or leap onto our bed for a peaceful nap.

By her second day, we witnessed something I never expected so soon—Sadi doing zoomies with the other dogs! It was such a delightful surprise and a complete contrast to the reserved girl we thought we knew. This playful spark gives me hope that with more time and a few more visits, she’ll continue to blossom socially and build even more confidence.

Her appetite has remained excellent, and she’s drinking plenty of water—much more than last time—which is always a great sign of comfort and well-being.

Watching Sadi come out of her shell, even little by little, is such a rewarding part of what we do. She’s making wonderful progress, and we’re so proud of her journey.
