From Rookie to Expert: Ferguson’s Socializing Skills Level Up!
Ferguson may be small, but today he proved—once again—that size is just a number. He and Bay were inseparable, locked in an endless cycle of play that had me both entertained and slightly on edge. Bay, being the bigger and stronger of the two, was completely focused on him, and while I had to step in a couple of times when her enthusiasm got a little too intense, Ferguson never seemed fazed.
For such a little guy, he’s fearless. Where some dogs might back away from Bay’s full-speed wrestling style, Ferguson dove right in. He darted, dodged, and gave as good as he got. TBH I was a little nervous, so I watched over them when they were playing at such high energy. But even when Bay tried to fit his whole neck in her mouth (purely in play, of course), he kept coming back for more. It’s a dynamic that reminds me just how different each dog’s play style can be, unlike my Hershey, who has been kind of ignoring Bay’s advance all week. Ferguson not only loves to play with Bay, he also loves to play with Tosey, who is his ex bff until today LOL
When they were not going at each other, Ferguson enjoyed nice little naps here and there, especially on the couch next to my lap.
I’d say he’s no longer a novice when it comes to socializing—he’s proven he can keep up with dogs of any size, breed, or age with ease.
