A Weekend Adventure at Our Doggy Resort
Today, we welcomed back our little friend Ferguson, a charming Bedlington Terrier, for a special milestone—his first-ever overnight stay away from home! Having previously visited twice for daycare to socialize with our Miniature Schnauzers, this was his first time spending three whole nights at our doggy resort.
Day 1 – Morning Check-In & Playtime
Ferguson arrived bright and early at 8 AM, lovingly dropped off by his mom, Lynda. She came prepared with his daily meals, a cozy blanket, and some diapers—since this little guy has a habit of marking his territory. As soon as he stepped inside, he was greeted with enthusiasm by our playful pups and our regular guest, Tosey (a Schnauzer-Poodle mix). The morning was full of high-energy tail-chasing fun, with Ferguson happily joining in the excitement.
A Quiet Midday Break
After a few hours of non-stop play, Ferguson took a step back from the action and wandered the house on his own—his favorite pastime. To help him feel at home, we treated him to dog biscuits and dried liver snacks throughout the day, a little reminder that he was safe and cared for.
Afternoon Excitement & New Friendships
The energy picked up again in the early afternoon with the arrival of Ms. Kora, a friendly 7-year-old Labradoodle. Ferguson quickly found a new playmate, and the games began! From chasing tails and tugging chew toys to curiously attempting to follow our pups through the doggy door, he was fully engaged. With a little more practice, we’re sure he’ll master the doggy door by the end of the weekend!
