Day 10 With Cola: Our Gentle Giant Full of Joy
Somehow, Cola seems even happier today — and that’s saying something because she’s been a ray of sunshine since the moment she arrived! From the minute we all woke up, she was bursting with playful energy, bouncing around the house with our fur babies and trotting from one chew toy to the next like it was her personal mission to spread happiness.
She didn’t even wait for brunch to start having fun — she was already fully engaged in play mode. And all that early excitement must’ve built up her appetite, because she gobbled up both her brunch and dinner today with zero hesitation and no need for any toppers or encouragement. A happy pup with a full belly — what more can we ask for?
Throughout the day, Cola kept up the fun with her usual crew and even made a few new friends. Despite her size and strength, she continues to be our “gentle giant” — never pushy, never rough, and always willing to share. Honestly, if she wanted to take over every chew toy in the house, she probably could… but that’s just not her style. Her sweet, respectful nature continues to impress us every single day.
And when she’s not playing, Cola is like a devoted companion, always close by and keeping us humans company. Even my mom — who’s usually a little unsure around bigger dogs — has completely fallen in love with Cola. She’s now one of her favorite cuddle buddies, and that says a lot.
It’s hard to believe we’re already 10 days into her stay. Her spirit hasn’t dimmed one bit, and honestly, neither has our excitement to have her here. Every day with Cola feels like a gift, and we’re soaking up every moment.
