Cola’s Vacation Diaries: A Cozy Spring Day
Cola’s vacation with us continues, and each day just gets sweeter. Today started a little earlier than usual — maybe too early for all of us, honestly! After her quick morning potty break, Cola had her own idea of how the day should begin. She quietly snuck back inside and made herself very comfortable by hopping back into our human bed.
Of course, once brunch prep started, she came running with that bright-eyed Cola enthusiasm, ready to eat and fuel up for another fun-filled day. She’s clearly been burning off a lot of energy with all the zoomies, playtime, and constant tail wags, because she devoured her breakfast in one sitting without skipping a beat.
One of the most wonderful things about Cola is how she spreads her love so evenly. She doesn’t play favorites when it comes to cuddles — she makes her rounds throughout the day, making sure everyone in the house gets their Cola hug. I especially adore the moments when she squeezes herself next to me on the couch during my little TV breaks. She fits right in like she’s been part of the family forever.

This afternoon, we soaked up the perfect spring weather in the backyard. It wasn’t hot or sunny — just that ideal crispness in the air that makes you want to be outside. Cola spent time lounging in the cabana with me, and for a moment, I wished we had a beach or pool in view… but with our little mountain backdrop, we’re not complaining! Still, she didn’t stay still for long — zoomies broke out, sniffing adventures began, and soon she was off exploring with her pup friends like the curious queen she is.
After dinner, the whole house was ready to wind down. Cola curled up with my parents in their cozy entertainment room, getting some well-deserved quiet time while I sat down to write about her day. But true to her loyal heart, she still popped in now and then with a wagging tail, just to remind me she hadn’t forgotten about me 🙂
